Hispanics fear racial profiling after Arizona's new law passed

This requires police officer's to question people about their immigration status if the police think they are in the country illegally.

Arizona immigration law “basically requires racial profiling” and could violate people’s civil rights, and law enforcement agencies that say it would be a mistake to bring similar legislation to California.

The Arizona law, considered the nation’s toughest against illegal immigration, was signed Friday by Republican Gov. Jan Brewer in a televised event. The legislation, which takes effect 90 days after the current legislative session, makes it a crime under state law to be in the country illegally.
